Colorado Sports Betting Guide For 2024
Colorado online sports betting exists only through legally licensed sites located outside of the US because the state has no laws governing state based online gambling for Colorado players. Whether this is good or not remains to be seen until a law is enacted, but it definitely presents a vulnerability to the Colorado gambling industry as more and more players opt for the convenience and flexibility of online access to online gambling, including sports betting.
Is It Legal To Bet On Sports In Colorado?
Brick and mortar sports betting options are not available in Colorado. There are very few places in the United States where betting on sports is legal at land based destinations, and Colorado is not one of them. It is also not legal to operate an online sportsbook within the state of Colorado at this time. However, there are no state or federal laws which prohibit USA players from participating in legally licensed and regulated online sports betting that is operating within a jurisdiction that has legalized online gambling. The UIGEA law which passed in 2006 does not affect players but rather targets operators and payment processors by placing strict regulatory oversight on how online gambling transactions can be processed.

What Constitutes A Legitimate And Trusted Online Sportsbook?
They should have an impeccable reputation among players and industry professionals, and deliver an overall high quality experience on every level. We don’t even consider featuring brands who simply meet industry standards and licensing requirements, we want brands who dramatically exceed industry standards and who go far and beyond licensing requirements to demonstrate a commitment to players’ safety and satisfaction. Yes, we want to be wowed. Anything less is unacceptable.
We know that the average player may not know how to vet all of these elements, and that’s the purpose of this guide. We’ve done extensive research and testing of each site to ensure their authenticity. That way you aren’t taking a chance with an undesirable brand that will present less than desirable results and/or a dangerous experience. The only risk should be on the outcome of that game, not on the safety of your gambling bankroll.
What Is The Status of Online Sports Betting in Colorado In 2024?
As mentioned above, state regulated online sports betting is not yet legal in Colorado. Since there are no laws specific to state based sports betting, there is also no way to legally regulate and protect players as of yet. Colorado does not issue any licenses to online sports betting operators and neither does it interact with overseas sportsbooks. With millions of sports fans in the Centennial States, 5 professional sports teams, most notably the Denver Broncos, and dozens of collegiate sports teams, including the Colorado State Rams, and a sports fan base for international sports, the potential revenue from a state based Col. online sports betting law would help the state collect much-needed funds for calamities like the recent flooding. Legal Colorado Online Sports Betting Options
In making a bet in an offshore website, it is important to consider only playing at those Colorado online sportsbooks which have been reviewed and approved by industry professionals to verify their legitimacy within the industry and their credentials as a legally licensed and certified operation. This must be done prior to depositing any funds in their banking suite.
Our guide was designed to provide direction on this and to help players avoid the dangerous and predatory operations which are designed to steal your money and/or identity. We take security very seriously and would never recommend a brand that has wowed our socks off with their sophisticated and robust security profile. Each brand here is safe and reliable, hands down.
Reputable C.O. online sports betting sites will be very transparent in their licensing and certification data. They will provide a great selection of sports events and betting lines, as well as wagering options. They will employ the latest in security features and fraud prevention systems, and a highly trained technical team to monitor those systems. They will have a USA friendly banking suite, competent customer support, and some impressive player incentives.
Betting on Popular Colorado Sports Teams And Trends From Last Year
The Colorado Rockies
If you live in Colorado and are a fan of sports like hockey and soccer, understand that we’re not attempting to cut you out of the loop. We simply aim to provide betting-based information on the most popular teams of a region, and that could include the Colorado Rockies of MLB. Over in the NL West, the Rockies are currently having a pretty rough go of it. Although still a very popular team, they’re not very good. They were second to last in ’14 with a record of 66-96, and they’re not doing any better this year. This losing trend is a disturbing one for Rockies’ fans.
ATS (against the spread) last season, the Rockies were 82-98. Their best push was playing as the home team and staying within the over-under, where they were 54-33-3. Still not a lock, in any sense of the term, but that’s where the Rockies’ shone as a contender. If you’re thinking about betting on the Rockies this season or next, we suggest you rethink that proposition. Now, we’re not trying to bad-mouth Colorado, but speaking with strict statistics, the Rockies aren’t a winning team.
Look for Colorado to continue its losing ways for at least another full season. They have no leverage for trading free agents, they don’t have a big bank, and their pitching is well below average. Not to mention they play in a division with the Dodgers, Giants and Padres.
The Denver Nuggets
Playing out in the West, the Denver Nuggets have been a basic non-factor since losing Carmello Anthony to the New York market. Though, surprisingly, Denver’s fans still cheer on the Nuggets at a frantic pace, and one might think that the team actually does quite well. Overall ATS, the Nuggets were 36-43-3, right around 45%. Those aren’t exactly numbers that inspire confidence. They also had losing records as the home team, the away team, and they were pretty bad after a loss.
Seeing as Denver hasn’t really made any strides in the talent department, one can assume that last season’s trends will continue on through this season. We don’t predict that Denver will be quite as bad, but they won’t be a safe bet. The trends simply aren’t in their favor here.
The Denver Broncos
The Broncos are entering their fourth season with the league’s all-time best regular season QB in Peyton Manning. They also have a stout, fast, strong defense led by Von Miller. And with weapons like Wes Welker and the Thomas’, the Broncos are always a good team on which to bet. Maybe not for a Super Bowl win, but for a regular season win they’re one of those “For-a-good-time-call…” teams.
However, that’s strictly wins vs. losses. ATS, the Broncos were actually 8-9 last year, failing to cover more than they did. But in division games, they were 5-1, 3-1 after a loss, and 3-3 as away favorites. These trends aren’t eye-popping ones that will have you ready to bet, but understand that Denver is going to be substantially better this season.
Manning is healthy. Their offense is faster and stronger. Their defense is one of the best in the AFC. And they have a new coach with a new system, and a lot to prove with Elway as their GM. Look for a 12-4 ATS number this season.
